There is so much to learn about our American history, much of which has been hidden, omitted or pushed to the background. I am so grateful for all the stories of our history now being restored and shared. Here is a compilation I’ve put together of some of the stories, programs and events available to us in the Denver/Boulder metro area and other venues, such as films & info available online.
For those of you out of state or not in this part of Colorado, you can check out the online info and PBS programs available. With a little research you can find even more. Public libraries, museums and local black organizations are also good resources for materials about blacks in America. Hope you get to watch/attend some of these. When viewing the websites, be sure to scroll down to the end to view all the programs/info available. There are also documents attached to this email, one that has the CU Boulder Black History Month calendar of activities and a document of the following information.
